A couple weeks ago I photographed these awesome kids for their family holiday card. I had so much fun with them! They are the coolest kids. Ever.
Hey everybody! Thanks for stopping by my photography blog! I hope you enjoy stopping by every now and then to check out what I've been up to and to see some of the latest examples of my work. While I was in New York for Lisa & Doug’s engagement session, I also photographed a session for Selene & Josh. I met Selene on a shoot last year- she was the videographer. We clicked right away, became Facebook buddies and I soon found out that she shares my appreciation for unique imagery. She got engaged earlier this year and I was honored to hear from her that she wanted me to photograph a session for them! You see, Selene is a super talented videographer/cinematographer and I knew she had a particular vision, so it was such an honor that she thought I could help bring that to life.
I became even more excited about the session when she sent me her mood board and explained that she wanted to do the session at Coney Island with a professional juggler and firebreather! Seriously? So cool. Here are my favorite images from the session.
We started the session with just Selene & Josh hanging out on the pretty desolate Coney Island boardwalk.

I went to New York City a few weeks ago to photograph Lisa & Doug’s engagement session and had the best time with them! New York has always been such a magical city to me- the energy and the movement of the city is just so different from that of here in LA and I love it. Not to mention, Fall is an amazing time to go- the leaves in the park, the brisk weather, the people walking around in their scarves and jackets. This session totally feels like Fall and I just love it! And don’t let Lisa’s outfit fool you- it was really cold and she was a champ!
We started the session at the Seaport because Lisa loved the feeling of the exposed brick and cobblestone streets that can be found there. I loved it, too!
Then it was off to Central Park for a change of scenery.
One favorite.
And another big time favorite.
My then fiance (and now husband!) came with me on the shoot and caught some great shots of Lisa & Doug as well as of me working behind-the-scenes.
Thanks so much for a fun afternoon in the city, Lisa & Doug! I’m so looking forward to your wedding! xo

It’s hard to believe that this little guy just turned 1! I have been photographing his mom Kristin since before she was pregnant with AJ and have been so honored to continue photographing her and her growing family. I photographed her maternity session last year, which was so fantastic. Then we also did a newborn session which I loved. I can’t believe how much AJ has grown and changed- so much can happen in a year!
We were originally supposed to do the session in downtown San Juan Capistrano, but because of rain (which never actually came) we moved the shoot to their home. Because we also shot the newborn session in their home last year, I got to photograph him in the same rooms as before, which I think adds something very special to these photos. Sometimes the unexpected change of plans makes things even better.
Here are some of my favorite images from our recent session. Isn’t he the cutest??
My fiance Brian came along on the shoot as my assistant and got some great photos of behind the scenes.
A favorite. <3
I love that last year, we got this photo:
And this year, we got this photo.
Love this mischievous look!
Then it was bath time. Love these!
Love him so much! Can’t wait to see him again!

After photographing their engagement session in Malibu over the Summer, I knew that Candice & Josh would have a great, easy-going, lovely wedding. A perfect wedding day for a kind couple.
Here are my favorite images from their day at Miramonte Resort & Spa in Indian Wells near Palm Desert.
Congratulations! I wish you all the best!

Um, these kids are awesome. And that B&W shot of the two of them walking up the stairs? AMAZING.
