Beverly Hills Engagement Photos – Melissa & David

December 8, 2011

As the year winds down to a close I’m naturally reflecting on this year and everything it has brought to my life. This has been an incredible year for me both professionally and personally. It’s amazing to think how much has happened with my business and in my life in the past 11 months and I’m so grateful for everything- it’s all been amazing.

Melissa & David’s engagement session was my last engagement session in 2011 and it couldn’t have been a better session. They are two of the nicest people and I’m so excited to photograph their glamorous wedding next year. They chose the streets of Beverly Hills as their backdrop and I loved what we found in that area! Just goes to show that any location can be made into a great backdrop for photos. :)

I absolutlely loved Melissa’s dress! The pattern, the colors, the sparkles… so great!

I was so happy that Melissa decided to wear this coral top for the second half of the session- went perfectly with the fall colors in this ivy! Could shoot a whole session just right here. :)

A definite favorite.

Melissa is a great interior designer and when we saw this pattern we both lit up with excitement. The light was gone by this time, but I still love how we were able to have some fun with it as a background.

I love.

I still have a few shoots to post from 2011 that I’m sure I’ll be posting into the new year. Looking forward to sharing those soon!

Two Features on Style Me Pretty – Four Seasons Santa Barbara & Pacific Palisades Estate Weddings

December 5, 2011

Last week, I was having some issues with my blog and site so I was unable to blog about the lovely feature on Style Me Pretty for Julia & Jon’s wedding at Four Seasons Biltmore Santa Barbara I shot back in April. Click here to see the post on Style Me Pretty. Click here to see my post about the wedding I made earlier this year.

This week, I’m honored to be featured again on the fabulous wedding blog with Liza & Jordan’s elegant wedding at the Charles Laughton Estate in the Pacific Palisades. Click here to see the Style Me Pretty feature! Their wedding was a gorgeous, classic, elegant affair and was coordinated by Gianna of Gianna & Co. The florals were done by the very talented Brad Austin. More images I love from the day are featured in my full post below.

Click here to see a Slideshow of the wedding I created, too!

Congratulations, Liza & Jordan! xo

I Got Married!

December 3, 2011

Last week, on November 25th, I married the best, most amazing man in a small, intimate ceremony in Palm Springs. It was the happiest, best day of my life surrounded by our closest family and friends. And one of my best friends in the whole world Meg Perotti was there to capture it all. I couldn’t imagine anyone else being there to photograph our small, special day!

I now know how it feels to be on the other end of the camera on a wedding day, and I have to say it was a little weird, but so amazing and fun. I’ll be doing a full blog post about our special day soon and my experience as a bride, but since it’s now been one full week since the big day, I thought I’d post this little preview with some photos Meg sent me. Oh, and one quick shout out to Michele of Fiore Beauty for my hair and makeup and to Luna of Arrangements Design for my amazing flowers! You are simply the best in what you do and I’m so lucky to know you all.

Can’t wait to share more soon!

Oh Heather! Congratulations on your wonderful marriage. While I know it is hard to be on the other side of the camera, both you and your husband look absolutely wonderful (and in love). I hope you enjoy all the joy that marriage brings.
    Happy wedding!
