It’s a long drive up the 5 freeway from Los Angeles to Northern California… but with sights like this, I don’t mind it at all. Just had to pull over and take some photos after so many times of making the drive and not stopping…
Love.

Well, March has begun and it’s one of my busiest months yet! In the next few weeks I’ll be in Tahoe, Hawaii, Austin and Palm Springs – and I’m SO excited for all the traveling, exploring and shooting. If you know me at all, you know I’m always up for a traveling adventure, and this month is going to provide plenty of that.
Even though it’s not completely ready to share yet, I wanted to post one more peek at a wedding I shot a couple weeks ago at the Viceroy Palm Springs. Can’t wait to share the rest of this one!
Happy Friday, everyone! And I hope you all have a fantastic weekend.

If you know me, you know I’m into following football. Some people are surprised by it… my family, never a sports fan kind of family, doesn’t get it. Some of my friends are into it, and some aren’t. I know it’s not for everyone, I just think it’s really fun to follow and watch… I love the camaraderie among sports fans and get excited to watch games with friends. I’m a huge Green Bay fan, so I am especially excited for tomorrow’s Super Bowl game! I’m looking forward to hanging out with friends, watching the much-talked-about commercials, and, of course, I can’t wait to watch the Packers take down the Steelers!!
And because I know some of you couldn’t care less about the game or who wins, here’s a quick favorite from the engagement session I shot this morning at the lovely Culver Hotel in Culver City. Many more photos from this session coming soon!
Hope everyone has a fun, safe weekend… and GO PACK GO!!!

I’m back home today after an incredible 4-day retreat to the mountains with 10 other women photographers whom I am honored and grateful to call friends. Last Summer, we had our first retreat to the Ace Hotel in Palm Spring (click here to read that post) and it was so much fun that we decided we will plan a trip together every six months. This time, the group (which consisted of a few new lovely members, while unfortunately 2 of the original members couldn’t make it) rented a cabin in Big Bear, a popular Southern California snow resort town. It was 4 days of learning about each other, laughing, dancing, cooking, sharing, laughing some more, playing and, of course, photographing…
Though we are all different and have unique stories, perspectives and visions, we have grown so close and have created something more than just a professional network. I’m so glad to be part of this amazing group of women… spending time with them these past few days has left me inspired, motivated, grateful, and happy.
To each of you ladies- Thank you for being you. xoxo
I will be doing a much longer post with more of the images I took this week sometime soon… In the meantime, here’s a timer shot I captured on our last night near the lake… From left: Meg, Megan, Mary and me.

It’s that time again for some of my favorite photographer ladies and I to venture out and take a little retreat from working to hang out, have fun, and take photos… because, well, that’s what we do. Last summer, we went to Palm Springs and had a blast at the Ace Hotel. For our winter getaway, we decided on a cabin in Big Bear!

We’ll all be posting images of our adventures on our Tumblr throughout the week. We’ve only been here for a few hours and already we are posting like crazy. Â :)
