A quick sneak from a very awesome family session I shot last weekend in Palm Springs. <3

It’s so hard to believe that it has been exactly one year since I posted this lovely family’s first session on my blog! I can’t believe how fast time is flying by!

I was thrilled to meet up with Andrew, Amanda and Sylvie again last weekend to take some new photos now that Sylvie is a year older. It’s so fun for me to be able to see families grow and change over the years, and I look forward to continuing to see how Sylvie grows up.

A few months ago I was talking to my friend Jaimi about her upcoming birthday and how she thought it would be amazing to gather some of her closest girls to celebrate her birthday in a way that would be unique and memorable for everyone involved. She had the idea of renting a big photo studio for a day of fun, beautiful, stylish portraits of herself and her friends, and I loved every detail! I was so honored when she called me to ask if I would be the photographer for the big day – I was so excited to work with her and all of her friends, have fun with style, and also to get to experiment in a setting that is so different than the usual sessions I photograph.

All of the ladies had their hair and makeup done by Fiore Beauty while Catherine of The Lifestyled helped to style the ladies. Some girls chose to do more fashion-inspired sessions, while others chose to do boudoir sessions. Each girl brought her own vibe to the shoot and inspired me in a different way…. Here are some of my favorite images from the shoot.

SO much fun!

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of doing an amazing studio shoot with 10 beautiful women giving me the opportunity to exercise my creativity in a completely different way. Working with studio lighting is so different from what I usually do with natural lighting on location for engagement shoots and weddings – and I love the change from time to time.

We shot both fashion-inspired looks and boudoir looks and I have so many favorites from the day. Here’s a quick preview of one of my favorite images from the day… more to be posted soon.
