Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope everyone had a lovely Memorial Day weekend! This weekend I bought a new computer, watched a few movies (Hangover Part II should have been called Hangover Part I Again), checked out the Long Beach Flea Market for some new stuff for the office (got a great armoire/dresser thing!), and then I shot an awesome Memorial Day party yesterday in Malibu, which was a really great way to spend the holiday.
Now, I’m back to work and I wanted to share a favorite shot from a recent wedding I shot in Pasadena.
This was an amazing wedding and I’ll be sharing much more of it soon.
Heather is currently in school in Maine and Eugene is in the military stationed in Georgia. They’re getting married here in Southern California next year, so we decided to shoot their session while they were visiting to take care of wedding plans. Here are my favorite images from their session… so many favorites!
We started in Griffith Park at a location that has quickly become one of my favorite places to shoot for all the little nooks of great light and pretty landscape.
Then we headed down the street to shoot in Los Feliz Village for more of a city feel.
I loved Heather’s dress… and their sassy vibe in this shot.

A few weekends ago I got up early on a Saturday morning to play with little D and N in a great little area of Griffith Park. Getting up to play with two adorable kids in the park is not a bad way to start a day! Not only were they super energetic and ready to play, but their parents brought along some great props to use in the photos, which I loved. I left this session energized by the energy of these kids…. and inspired by their wide-eyed view of the world around them. There is something so special about spending time with children… Everything is so new and interesting to them. They want to see and do and touch everything. They want to experience. I’m so grateful for my time with them because they make me want to experience, too.

D had a lot of energy that morning! My favorite thing was to let him just run around, do what he wanted and just be the awesome little boy that he is.
