In early August, I traveled up to Seattle for the first time to photograph a bunch of family portrait sessions. I was fortunate to have my sister make the trip with me and for my friend Laurel to meet us up there for a couple days. I never got around to posting some of my favorite personal photos I took over that long weekend… so here they are now!

Pike’s Place Market was one of my favorite spots in Seattle… so much energy here.

Hayley is such a good sport as a model… having a sister as a photographer must get annoying sometimes, but she was willing to be my model all over Seattle.

We mostly walked around the whole city… this map was pretty helpful.

One of the days, we had to go out to Whidbey Island for a couple of the family sessions and had to take the ferry. It was my very first time on a ferry… very exciting.

The ferry ride was windy- very very windy. This is Laurel on the left. She’s one of my best friends and is an amazing artist! Check out her site!

Driving around Whidbey Island, we found this awesome field. Seattle has so many different types of landscapes that inspired me in totally different ways. I feel like this looks like a commercial for our rental car… that super sexy, red Pontiac Vibe in the background. Either that or Hayley and Laurel’s band photo?

Then we found this awesome entrance to the woods… Oh, how I would LOVE to do a full shoot here!

Such a fun trip… so glad I finally got around to posting these. Can’t wait to plan another adventure very soon!
