So many fabulous handmade DIY details! I loved how everything came together thanks to lots of hours of craftiness by Raci, Mike and their family and friends.

I especially loved this idea of hanging snapshots on twine with clothespins!

The ceremony was really emotional. I could post a photo of each family member crying and even some of the groomsmen! However, these are my favorites. I love Mike looking to Stevie, the Best Man, as if saying “here we go!” Great moment.

Raci and her dad also had a really great moment just before walking down the aisle that Danielle was able to capture. So sweet.

Santa Clarita Wedding Photographer: Mike and Raci&amp;amp;amp;amp;#039;s Wedding Part I

As I wrote in Mike and Raci’s engagement session post, I have known them both for a long time– 10 years! It was so much fun to be able to celebrate their wedding with them two weekends ago. All of their family and friends gathered to watch them exchange vows and what followed was a fantastic celebration that is sure to be talked about for a very long time.

A quick thanks to Danielle Klebanow for joining me that day and taking over for the reception so that I could relax and celebrate with all of my friends. Thanks Danielle! You were wonderful.

I have so many favorites from the day so I’m going to break it up into three separate posts. First up, the getting ready, bride and groom portraits and a few of the wedding party.

I arrived at the Hyatt Valencia to find out that the guys were still hanging out in the pool with less than an hour left to get ready… I hope my friends won’t hate me for posting this, but I just had to show the drastic differences between how guys and girls “get ready” on a wedding day. (For the record, Mike is only pretending to drink from that Jameson bottle…)

I LOVED that flower detail in her hair! And Raci is so crafty she added the feathers herself. In fact, Mike and Raci handmade many of the details for their wedding day in true DIY fashion… the majority of details will be posted in Part II.

When we arrived at the ranch in Santa Claritay, we went right to the First Look! Mike was totally hesitant to do a First Look while we were talking about the timeline of the day about a month ago… but because of the light situation and their late ceremony, we didn’t really have a choice. In the end, I know he loved being able to see Raci and have a moment with her before she walked down that aisle. It also gave us tons of time for some awesome photos!

Mike &amp;amp; Raci&amp;#039;s Wedding Sneak Peek

My hectic schedule finally caught up with me this week in the form of a bad cold, which forced me to take a couple days off from working. However, I would like to share one image that I really love from Mike and Raci’s wedding last weekend. I actually think that the long day of shooting and long night of celebrating is much to blame for the sickness… but it was so much fun it was worth it.
