My mom is the absolute best. I could not have asked for a better woman to have to nurture, encourage, console, inspire and love me throughout my life. She has made possible for me every opportunity I’ve had in my life and for that I owe so much to her.
I love you mom!
This is one of the only photos I can find of my mom, sister and me from the past couple months. There is something seriously wrong with that! We’ll be changing that today…
It’s from my cousin’s wedding in Decemeber… we were rocking on the dance floor.
Meg asked me a while back to help her on an editorial-style vintage-inspired engagement shoot for which the couple was going to rent a vintage car and style themselves in vintage 1960s wardrobe… UMM did she even have to ask?? As a photographer, I live for photographing people who are really excited about their photographs and who love to think outside the box as much as I do. Plus, shooting with Meg is always a pleasure…
So, we met up with Carly and Chris on Sunday afternoon near Griffith Park (Los Angeles) and had a fantastic session.
We started with some lively, fun, colorful portraits in this great field. Don’t these images just ooze Springtime?
This has to be one of my favorites… It feels so classic and I just love the colors and composition.
Carly’s expression! Pure happiness. This one makes me smile…
Then Carly and Chris changed into their formal wardrobe and we headed over to another location to shoot some fun stuff with this awesome 1961 Cadillac- a vintage car for a vintage-themed shoot? Perfect! Oh, how I love shooting with awesome props in this editorial style.
From the preview post:
Another favorite. These two were so comfortable in front of the camera.
Carly and Chris,
You guys were fantastic! Thanks so much for your creativity and great attitudes! Congratulations!
I absolutely adore shooting these types of sessions! If you are interested in editorial-style session for your engagement, portrait or family session, contact me and we can talk about the options! I’ll be offering these at a discounted rate for a limited time.
Today, thanks to a call from my great friend Johanna, I learned that some of my images are featured on the all-new Totally Rad Actions Recipe site!
For all of you non-photographers, Totally Rad Actions are really awesome customizable effects that photographers can use to easily make good photos great in post-production. There are many different brands of action sets out there– I myself use Totally Rad Actions (TRA), Kubota Image Tools and Colorshift in my post-production Photoshop fun.
TRA recently launched a new Web site where photographers can submit photos and their favorite TRA recipes as inspiration for other photographers using the actions. It’s pretty cool to have 3 images featured on the site upon its launch!
