Last Friday I planned a shoot with my cousin Maribeth (you may recognize her from her wedding photos). Maribeth is in town for about a month before she and her new husband Landon move to Germany where he will be stationed for the next few years, so I wanted to plan a day to do some fun photos with her since she’s definitely not shy of the camera. 
I scouted locations around my hometown for a while wanting to stay away from the typical desert scene that is so abundant around here. I remembered that I had passed by this old car yard a while back and drove by it to see if I could get permission (I was ready to beg if necessary) to shoot in this place. I soon discovered that Russell was the man to ask. Russell was a cool guy, no begging necessary– during the shoot he even offered us all a Budweiser and a tour of the yard. I declined the Budweiser, but the tour was pretty cool.
Now- onto the photos!
Maribeth just finished her four years in the Army in January, but now may be called back to the Middle East… we thought it was all-too-fitting to take photos of her in front of this Army tank. What a gorgeous soldier, huh?
Then we found this old school medic truck. I had fun with the reflection in the window.

Though the tank was pretty amazing, I fell in love with this van! The colors were awesome.

I realize this is quite a departure… I just really loved this image for some reason and had a lot of fun playing around with it. (Maybe too much? Who cares…)
