Coming Soon: An Engagement Session – Editorial Style

Something I’ve really been interested in lately is utilizing off-camera lighting more and more to give my images an extra special oomph… something to make them more unique and interesting. I love using natural light– it’s beautiful and flattering and more time-efficient. But, to keep my creative side challenged and sharp, I like experimenting with lights because it opens up a whole other world of photographic possibilities.

Yesterday I had a great time shooting a really awesome engagement session with Meg and some off-camera lighting. More on the specifics of this shoot soon… Until then, here’s a preview.

Needless to say, this couple was AWESOME and Meg and I were in photographic heaven. :)

    Hey! I actually found you through the recipe on the totally rad action site! I LOVE LOVE LOVE your work! Would you mind me asking what kind of lighting you are using for these? I read that you are experimenting lately, which I want to start doing…but not sure where to start :) Thanks so much, and I will be checking back for more posts…they’re amazing!
